My all waaaay too cute nephew climbing the rock wall...he tried so hard to make it to the top! BTW- I have never seen a rainbow come thru on the sun's rays quite like it does in this photo! Is there something real to this feeling of almost 'utter peace', a feeling of 'being at home' in this canyon????????

Gourgeous day for a Fest., especially in the beautiful Topanga Canyon!!! It was cloudy, (and actually stormy up at our place), almost all the way to the Fest. The clouds parted just above the hill in the canyon...SWEET!!!

I dyed this gourd a pretty green, then added knotless netting around the outside. The netting is done in waxed linen. Beads were added to the top edge.

Small gourd vessel with a Native American butterfly motif. I used dyed pine needles around the rim, woven on with artificial senew. The butterfly motif was burned onto the gourd surface before dying. I added brass cones and beads to the sides.
